Competition Purpose & Goals
The Saudi Sip of Excellence is a prestigious competition created for local farmers in Saudi Arabia, providing them with a unique platform to showcase the exceptional quality of their Arabica. This competition offers a grand prize pool 210,000 SAR, with exciting opportunities for winners, including the chance to collaborate with the Saudi Coffee Company to create and market their own signature coffee release. Aimed at Saudi farmers passionate about coffee cultivation, the competition aims to inspire the production of the finest crops, boost visibility for local coffee-producing talent, and contribute to the growth and recognition of the Saudi coffee industry.

How to Apply
Minimum requirements:

Country of Origin : Saudi Arabia.

Processing : Coffee beans prepared from ripe cherries, de-pulped, or mechanically de-mucilage, and dried to the required moisture content. Beans must be hulled and graded based on density, size, and defects.

Composition : 100% Arabica coffee.

Color : Uniform shade between bluish-green and green.
-
Moisture Content : 1.0% ± 11%.

Defects : As per the Specialty Coffee Association classification.

Crop Season : From the 2024/2025 harvest.

Shelf Life : Minimum of 24 months from the production date.

Product Certification : Certificate of authenticity for the product and farm (from an accredited source).

Registration and sample submission (1.0 kg) by farmers

Preliminary round

Submission of the crop by 40 Selected farmers (a batch of 25 kg)

First round – screening and evaluation of 40 samples

Second round – screening and evaluation of 12 samples

Three winners will be selected from each region, and the prizes will be awarded as follows:


3rd Place
SAR 10,000


1st Place
SAR 25,000


2nd Place
SAR 15,000
An additional first-place prize of 10,000 SAR will be awarded to the top national-level winner after the final round






Terms & Conditions
Participation in the competition is open to coffee farmers in Saudi Arabia aged 18 and above. Participants must submit all required data and documents accurately and completely before the registration deadline. Crops will be evaluated based on quality, innovation, and sustainability, and all judging decisions will be final. By registering for the competition, all participants agree to comply with its rules. The Saudi Coffee Company may use images and videos from the competition for promotional activities.
